Recently, a few days back I stumbled up on this web page:http://www.nicopix.com/ and found some interesting images of Indian locations under”Editions/India”. The images are really refreshing and I had never seen such images earlier in my life, they are so different in perspective and mind boggling angles.
So, I started to find out how those images are shot and during that time I came across “Kite Aerial Photography”, a type of aerial photography it seems. I had heard about ‘aerial photography’ and presumed it means taking photos from aircraft or helicopter only and I never knew that we can take such wonderful aerial photos with the help of a kite and the existence of a type of photography called “Kite Aerial Photography”.
The images of Nicolas ( the author of above refereed site) are so inspiring, I started my exploration on the basics and techniques of KAP (Kite Aerial Photography) and the result of that is, I have almost made up my mind to give a try at it and practice it in addition to VR photography which I am already doing it professionally in full scale.
All this leads to that , the ‘Digital Photographer’ in me has two avatars:
First a Panographer : A person who practices virtual reality panoramic photography.
Second a KAPer (KAPper) : A person who practices kite aerial photography.
As a result you will find in this blog lots of info, news, tips&tricks, images and my personal experiences on both ‘VR Photography’ and KAP in the respective categories in future, so enjoy and let me have your feed back to improve my self and other visitors of this blog.
