I was contemplating quite some time why not all pro photographers click in RAW and submit raw files to photofinishers like me and get much better results using RAW work flow
The limiting factor was the absence automatic raw processing workflow for all the proprietary raw formats . Now Noritsu Koki of Japan and Adobe Systems have joined together( or entered in to an agreement) to provide a Raw Processing worKflow for minilabs using the standard DNG format.
So the next generation of mini labs can accept RAW files from customers and provide the highest quality prints and totally avoiding the present and not so satisfactory JPEG workflow.
This is a dream come true forpro photographers and Photofinishing labs like ours, who always strive to provide top quality products by using the right workflow and latest tools.
